I have a black Xtreme and I used SSR2.5 and then SSR1 and it looked sweet and then I put on a coat of EX-P and then the next day a coat of #26 and then this weekend in the sunlight I saw there are so many swirls in this thing i wanted to kick it.:angry What went wrong do need to start over?:(

Here are some pics.

You kinda need to give more information. Did you do this by hand or by PC? If you did via PC, what pads did you use?

Regardeless, you now have major swirling that probably isn't removeable by hand without some some serious muscle work. Yeah, you need to start over.

Assuming you don't have a rotary, I'd probably start over with a PC /LC orange cutting pads/SSR2.5. Work slowly and work the product until it's gone. Work in the sun and wipe each section to guage your progress. Follow up with LC white and SSR1 if you have hazing.

I did the SSR2.5 & 1 by PC with a mequirs finishing pad and polishing pad and the EX-P with a microfiber applicator by hand and the #26 was by hand with the applicator that came with it. All was removed with microfiber towels.

What was your technique for hand applyiung your LSP's? Were the applicators dirty? Did you pull it out into the sun during polishing to make sure you had removed the swirling?

No when I was polishing it the weather was cloudy so the first time the sun came out I had waxed it already. The applicator wasnt dirty I went and bought a new one that day.

I think the problem is your pad choice. Looks like you might need a bit more cut. I'd do the SSR2.5 with a cutting pad and the SSR1 with a polishing pad (in fact, I don't think SSR1 is really meant to be used with a finishing pad.)

Also, you may have to do several passes with the SSR2.5. Just work slowly and check your progress constantly. The SSR's contain no fillers so after you work on your 2*2 section, just wipe off the residue and check your work.

LSP's look fine with the applicators you used.

You violated the #1 rule. No, I'm not trying to bust your balls but you should always work in 2x2 section remembering what works as you move along. You should then apply that process to the rest of the car in 2x2 areas, modifying as you go of course, and always checking your work before moving to the next panel. This is obviously a great learning experience for you.
