Could Wax be a thing of the past? Hydro2

Just a thought I would share from a business owner, time is money...Hydro2 is the answer, I have went from my basic package that included wax to hydro2 cutting time by at least a hour and no sacrificing quality...
I know there will always be Wax in my arsenal but with the ease of Hydro2 is sure makes running a business much easier.....The gloss it produces is amazing and durability up to three months....If you havent tried Hydro2 you owe to yourself, after all seeing is believing.
It can be used on entirely every part of the vehicle.....calipers, glass and trim
Here are a couple of cars that were coated with Hydro2

If you've been reading the wax love fest on a couple of other threads, its clear wax isn't going anywhere.

However, its become more a niche market for old school hard liners, people who enjoy always messing with their paint, and show cars...the winds are a changing for everyone else.

It seems pretty clear that the people who do this for a living or money will go the route of Hydr02 over wax. Its a lot less work and the results are pretty equal. Seems like some guys are just looking for an excuse to hide from the wife and honey do list a bit longer ;)

There will always be a place for wax. I use BFWD topped with BFCS. I top that with BFMS paste wax on the hood, front bumper, and side mirrors for extra bug protection. I can re-wax those areas pretty easily every few car washes to help protect the sealant underneath. Plus wax gives a different look than sealants, especially on dark paint.

I'd use Hyrdo2 on every job I did if I had a shop. Being mobile limits my use of it. I do however use it on well cared for RVs that only need a wash & wax, and average $100 per hour on those jobs thanks to Hydro.

I've been going back and forth about trying this. Now I have to give it a try! From a business standpoint this is a no brainier. Wax will always be used for show cars and for some enthusiast who love spending time with their vehicles. I fall into that category sometimes. Glad to see it's not just marketing hype.

In FL, sun is the problem. But I like the speed/finish/durability.

Hope for a cloudy day soon :)

Wow great job. I have used Hydro2 on my wheels and I love it. I can't wait to try in on my boat this weekend.

I have never been a fan of paste wax, its just too time consuming and not worth the effort on a daily driver. I dropped paste wax and moved onto liquid wax such as OCW to save time. Hydro2 is on the same spectrum of a time saver

Is wax dead? Not even close... However technology has allowed some really interesting alternatives which offer some really cool benefits.

What I enjoy most about Hydro2 is how it spreads over the surface after you blast it - behind the door handles, trim, mouldings, grill, wheels, you name it.. it gets covered quickly and easily.

Hydro2 leaves a very slick surface with an incredible shine and very intense water beading. I haven't quite gotten 3 months of durability, probably closer to 1.5-2 months on cars that have no other protection, but this is as long as some carnauba waxes.

It's another valuable tool in the tool chest.

I think hydro is a must if you do bikes, everything gets coated vs hand application just won't reach certain areas.
