Yes, I've finally got it: detailer's flu. The symptoms are pretty accelerated:

1. Staying up until 1 am to perfect a polishing job

2. Waxing your bathroom counter with Natty's to see some depth

and worst of all

3. Actually faking sick so you can detail your running boards

There's only one cure for me: I need some #83 :D

Where's a good place online to get it from? My local pep boys only has #7, #16 and #26. Is the #7 any good? Either way, I'm looking for all of the 80's to pick up for a decent price. Any help is appreciated.

Check the Meg's website.. they have a dealer locater. Put in your zip, get a list of businesses that carry the Pro Line. In my area, Carquest and carquest re-finishing stores carried the full line.

I also get my Meg's stuff at ADS. Rick is awesome.

lemans........it is addictive......I've seen your symptoms on OT!!!

how does optimum compare to megs?

IMHO and by from using both for long periods of time I will say that optimum blows away the meguairs polishes and the main reason being that meguiars polishes seem to have some fillers in them. Some more than others of course. Also the meguiars polishes do not finish as clear as the optimum stuff does.

As per where to buy megs stuff, give napa a shot. They can get alot of stuff that they dont have, and they get it overnight.

Greg, need your advice please. I've been very pleased with WG sealer, but I'm looking to go to Megs as a one source since it's available locally. I want to know what Meg's products could be used as prep before using WG sealer and when my WG runs out, would #21 be equal to it? And which to avoid since I'm afraid there may be bonding issues like you know how you can't put a sealer over a carnuba.

thank you!

Meg offers a lot of options for polish. Do you want a pure polish as meg #5 or #7 or #81? Or do you want do you want a paint cleaner?

I want something with a cut higher than SSR2 that works well, doesn't dust, and is easily corrected by other polishes.

I've faked being sick on one job because it paid more than me being in work that day. In fact, it was 1/3rd my paycheck.
