Contemplating Zymol.... Few ??s

I am contemplating buying some Zymol. Basically, I wanted to ask a few things before I did, especially considering the astronomical price. So here are my questions...

1) Is this stuff really worth it?

2) Which of their numerous waxes would be appropriate for the car in my avatar? (Black 2003 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra)

3) Is there anywhere to get Zymol for cheaper than directly from them?

4) Do you really apply this stuff with your hands?!

5) Is there anything else you think I should consider before buying this stuff?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot fellas. :D

If you are down with the price of Zymol, you should think long and hard about Souveran. Smells great, easy on and off, and an unmatched appearance (esp on black). As an added bonus, with Souveran you can use a foam applicator:rolleyes:

Already got some Souveran :D One step ahead of ya. I just wanted to try something on the extreme side of "exotic" in terms of toppers.

I have to agree with Deanski........

"Zymol yes I have Japon and other related Zymol products... THE GREAT MARKETING HYPE! Come on, who id going to put wax in their hand and wipe the finish? Sounds like wax for a new episode of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy"

There are certainly better cleaners for paint finishes than HD-Cleanse, but if that's what floats your boat and it works.. that's cool and stay with that. However, there are just more to choose from and to evaluate which to use for what type of problem you have.

As for wax, Yep, got Souveran Paste too! Not bad at all. I'm now waiting for Clearkote's VM and CMW to try, as I just got the QS and it's very nice and glossy for a QD.

Zymol is loaded with natural ingredients, so if you want to spend boo-koo money one what was once a bad Margarita, so be it.

The problem is that it just does not last long. If you consistantly wax... like every weekend, then Zymol is fine.

Try the S100 or P21S, cheaper and lasts much longer with very high gloss results.

Remind me never to shake you hand in the future..

Deanski

Hello..............

In a phrase, Zymol is the best. It is outrageously expensive, it can be difficult to put on, you will feel a bit silly using your fingers to put it on, but after it gets settled in and the shine comes through....................................you will just have to see it yourself.

I've tried many waxes in my years of detailing (mothers, meguiars, gliptone, zaino-yes zaino), and in my opinion the zymol estate waxes handily outperforms all of those brands in finish quality. That is my opinion, so you will have to try it yourself to see if it will pass your visual test. To me, it is well worth its asking price....provided you can cough up that kind of cash:mad: :D

I have dabbled with a few paste waxes now, and while the zymol looked good, its not worth the extra $ you pay for it IMO.

Here is a link to a review I did on the "hand" wax:

a little gimmicky? - maybe

the actual process - not as bad as you'd think, its almost thearuputic.

Zymol Concours

you decide....:)
