On one hand I have to say that Consumer Reports is something I generally only reference when I'm in the market for a toaster or blow dryer, but on the other hand...morbid curiosity I guess...I would like to know how they selected, tested, and rated these products.

NuFinish is the best paste wax they tested? above P21S? I am not sure that I give this test a lot of credibility.. I have to admit though, that I dont give Consumers Report a whole lot of credibility anymore though either.

Let's try to keep something (which is probably obvious) in mind when evaluating the Consumer Reports wax test. They probably used the staff's cars, have never heard of a PC let alone a polish, and just washed and waxed the cars. Now I'm certainly not defending their results but for 95% (or more) of the population- this is a real life scenerio of how they will use a car wax/sealant. I'm sure a wax or sealant with strong cleaners and decent durability would do well in a test like this. For example, I'm sure AIO and Color X would do very well. If you put a nice carnauba (which has little to no cleaners...aka P21S) on an unprepped car that has only been washed (and probably not frequently) how would you rate it's appearance? I would keep several of these factors in mind when reviewing the results. I agree with VroomVroom that I would like to know how they selected, tested, and rated the products also because I'm fairly certain it's nothing like how an Autopian would wash, clay, polish and wax his/her car.

Actually the CR problems are many...poor sampling method, poor measurement systems, poor test procedures, not wholly independent. If I want expert advice on waxes...I would come HERE!!!

Iagree-I didn't see any difference when I topped 845 with S100
