Confused about the PC Help please!

Greetings All, I'm a bit confused about the method of using the PC.

I just ordered one, will be here tomorrow.

Question is: When I use a cleaner/swirl-scratch remover do I work the product into the paint until it's gone? Or do I need to remove it with a towel of some kind once the area I'm working on is done? Thanks in advance for the help
 
Cleaners and SMR are not one in the same, they both provide varying degrees of results. SMR's are generally polishes, and cleaners are chemical agents that basically strip the surface of dead paint, without abrasives. When you are more product specific, our answers will be more informative. Each product is unique!
 
I agree with a.k.a. Generally speaking with a polish like PB's SSRs, or Meguiar's #80, you will work in a 2ft.x2ft. area until the polish almost disappears. It would help to know exactly what products and pads you will be using though.

Thanks for the info guys. The question I guess in my head was a general one, without a gen. answer. I guess it would make sense that each product does its own thing. Just trying to learn what works with what & why. I have been reading many threads here & reviews/how2's as well. PC came today, looked over some product I have already, just been wondering for future stuff I buy... But thanks again... I'm learning
 
what do you have at your disposal right now? we can give you a heads up if you let us know what products are in your arsenal right now.
