Compounds for Megs Microfiber Cutting Discs

I notice that the Megs Microfiber Cutting Discs are used by many on this forum. I plan to order a couple of packs of five inch and three inch discs for my first gen 7424. Should I order the Megs Correction Compound too? I plan to use these discs rarely on my two trucks and Harleys...only for marring/minor scratches that a foam pad cannot handle easily and for touching up repaint sanding/compounding/polishing that a body shop might not get quite right. At this time I am getting along just fine using Megs Ultimate Compound followed by the Ulitimate Polish. Will the Ultimate Compound work satisfactorily with the discs?

The discs work really well with a variety of different compounds and polishes, so I don't see why they wouldn't work well with the UC. If you already have the UC and UP, I'd do a test spot and see how they do first before spending more money on something you may not need. Different paint reacts differently to different pad/polish combos so it's hard to say exactly how a certain combo will do without doing a test spot first. I haven't used them with UC or UP, but they have worked really well for me with HD Cut, HD Polish, M105, M205, Opt Hyper Polish and Opt Hyper Compound.

Generally speaking, if it works good with foam, it's going to work even better with Micro Fiber. They're easier to clean, they hold the polishing compound better and because they're thinner, they cut better too. A true must have pad....

scholls concepts s3gold is amazing with megs mf pads and other brands of mf cutting pads. It just finishes better than any other compound polish. I have tried fg400 and m100. I haven't tried m101, but I prefer dat over smat and I know that m101 has an amazing level of cut, but I do not believe that it is for me. fg400 would be my second choice, but m100 is no slouch either. I know that many love m101, but I just feel more comfortable with dat products.
