compound for sanded aluminum wheels?

Hey all, im curious if there is a rubbing/polishing compound that would remove sand marks from fine grit sandpaper on aluminum wheels, pre polishing? im trying to attain as mirror like of a finish as possible.



i went from 400, 600,1000,1500,2000 grits in sandpaper and still see some marks where the sanding patterns cross and such.



any advice?
 
are you polishing by hand or machine? are you sure that you removed all the sanding marks left by the previous grit paper (ie 1500 grit marks removed while using 2000 grit)? you could look at nuvite or rolite polishes they both have polishes for each step in polishing aluminum.
 
I am polishing with the mothers polishing sponge (not the best tool) I am also wetsanding with the grits mentioned.
