Any change out the factory radio on a car with Onstar? what does it entail? I am thinking of doing it but I like my onstar.

If you want to keep the OnStar there is a device made by SoundGate that will allow you to retain the OnStar. It sells for about $150.

i went to a bmw detailing workshop yesterday and the pro who was there was very high on 3m ultrafina as a finishing polish. i have menzerna final polish2. for those who have used both which one do you go for the most...

Used UF a lot when I started detailing. Truly one of the easiest and most user friendly polishes.

It works better than anything, except FPII in soft paints I have found. Some say, and I don't doubt them due to its oily nature that UF has the ability to fill.

It really offers very little cut so I have since switched to Menz 85rd for the majority of my finishing work, if done by DA on medium to hard paints M205 is awesome and on older paint by rotary jeweling 87mc (FPII) is just perfect because you dont need the extra cut and its so fine!

All three are great finishing polishes. I have all of them and use all of them. IMO 85rd will finish the same, but does have a little bite.

In the words of somebody who would know UF has "ultra durable filling agents".

It is a very fine polish, and on most paints will produce a great finish, but on darker colors you may find defects returning at a later date. IRC, I was one of the first people using UF and a big fan, but I did notice some filling on cars I had polished 3-4 months previous, and stopped using it for the most part.

Just curious, why does the description for this product state that it does not contain fillers or are we talking about a different product?

From PAC site:
Ultrafine Machine Polish is the first 3M polish designed to "remove" and not "fill" micro-fine paint defects. It delivers razor sharp reflections and a hologram-free finish when used with 3M's proprietary foam pad and a high-speed, circular machine polisher. This polish does not contain fillers, silicone or masking agents. It is designed to leave a true, blemish-free, perfect finish.
