Community Service

I have been asked by several of my peers to post some of my ideas that have proven success in my area. Recently I approached a Goodyear facility, which is located near my shop and asked what he thought about hosting a clinic focused on women. We would set it up by sending out flyers, and using a press release. I have done several speaking engagements for women’s groups on car care, and it was a HUGE success. (Sold a ton of micro fiber towels) Most women want to know basic auto maintenance, but don’t know where to get advice. Goodyear will supply the info on mechanical input, and I will cover enhancement, interior and exterior. This is a great way to not only promote your business but to provide something that will help and benefit your community. Here is something else I should tell you. Get to know the editor or publisher for your area’s newspaper. If you are offering something to the public as a free service, they are more than willing to put it in the paper. I have received allot of publicity on my detailing clinics because most of them are free to the public. The paper loves to get news and info out to their readers. Free advertising is the best kind. That’s all I have time for now, Good luck, Gary Kouba
