ColorX results with PC**Pics**

Where did my title go?
This was on my practice hood :) I really didn't know that ColorX would correct these kind of defects. I knew as most of you, that it was good for oxidation and restoring color. So I thought I would give you guys that have a use for a great one step wax my recommendation for ColorX.
ColorX with PC on 6
I tried to get the lighting as close as possible on the before and after, but working in the backyard under trees and getting dark made it a bit difficult. Regardless you can see the results.

By specs do you mean what products are on the paint?
Sorry I always leave out something lol Yes Meg's Yellow Polishing Pad

See around the light in the second pic. Looks like dust or product splatter. Just curious.

Definately brough out the color thought :D

Oh those are just chips and pits in the paint....This was done on a 80's something buick hood.

Pretty impressive results.

Have you tried the ColorX by hand?
It might be also be a good product for those that don't own a polisher. :dunno

I had no idea it had that kind of correcting power. Did you work it in pretty long? Thanks for informing us of your results.

Charles,
I have used it by hand and it does a great job of cleaning (See picture below) but not really the corrective power as using it with the PC. Now how much of that can be accounted to the pad and the movement of the polisher itself :dunno

Jroc,
I worked it in very well, until there was just a very thin coat left on the paint then removed with MF towel. I would say up and down and side to side about 3 passes each on a 2x2 section I had taped off on the hood.

I used ColorX after cleaning on the under side of this hood.

Having been one of the hard to convert PC users, IMO I think much of the good results are due to the polisher. There has been no comparison in the results I get with the PC and #9 or ScratchX. For removing paint flaws, the PC has been well worth the investment to me.
Anyone that does much swirl or marring removal should try to own one.

But, for those that aren't able to make that investment, the ColorX sounds like something worth checking out. It also sounds like a product for PC users to take a look at.
