I really like Collinite's 476S. No, it DOES NOT look as nice as higher-end waxes, hard to verbalize, but it looks a little "worse" than Meg's #16. Not quite the same depth, wetness, or clarity. So it's probably not the stuff to use before that big car show unless it just happens to look great on *your* paint. BUT, I honestly think that comparing most paste waxes is pretty pointless, we're talking *VERY* subtle differeneces. Souveran and Collinite are not really designed to accomplish the same thing, except in the most general sense.
The Collinite goes on/off just fine for me. I apply, and usually remove, it using a PC or Cyclo. You can wipe-on-wipe-off and still get good durability, or you can let it set up longer and get even BETTER durability (with a little tougher removal). It did NOT stain my trim. It hides a LITTLE marring and seems to "layer" if you apply the subsequent coats with a week or so in between. On a vehicle that's outside 24/7 it lasted all winter, and then some, with two coats (one allowed to set up and one w-o-w-o). On the light/medium blue Volvo single-stage, *I* though it looked great. Incredible beading, "self cleans" in the wet.
