Collinite 845 ?'s

Can you layer and how long between applications?

Can you use a detail spray on the pad for application like you can on a sealant, same for the MF towel on removal?

I first used DG 601 and 105 followed by the AW, then topped by the 845. Can I top the 845 with the AW?

With the 845 over the DG the finish seemed much clearer and deeper. Still trying to find that magic combo for me.

:thx in advance!!

When I use 845 every year I just use a base of Sonus Paint Cleanser and apply a new layer every time I rewash for the next 3 washes then Im good to go for the winter, and I usually apply a QD to the pad to make application just a tad easier. I dont know the answers to your other one about DG. :nixweiss

you can use AW over collinite..no problem...

as far as layering 845....12 hours is good...seen here some have done it in less time..

I use distilled water for carunuba...on the pad..just a mist...never used a QD for wax...just a sealant..so can not comment on that end...

I have seen where some use a QD to remove stubborn wax when buffing it off...

Which car did you put that on and what color? How many layers of 105? Iwas thinking about doing the same process but with 2 or 3 coats of 105.

I did this process to my wifes 01 300m. It is gold and the colinite gave it that extra to make the color pop with depth wetness and reflection. I applied 2 coats 105 with 2 of the AW, so far I've applied 1 coat of the 845 just to the top of the car. Due to time constraints and the sides needing clayed I didn't have time to do the whole car.

I really don't belive the whole layering thing, especially with a product like 845. It's loaded with solvents, so by adding another coat you would just be replacing the existing wax with new wax, so no, you cannot truely layer 845. Plus, one coat will give 6 months durability on it's own.

My truck just got treated to a collinite massage! I'm thinking I finally found the look and durability I wanted. The Dg alone is great, but topped with the 845 it's fantastic! I'm sure other products might look better but the durability is a major factor for me. Plus the look of this really stands out! My neighbor always sees me working on my cars but after the Collinite he said he needed to find out what I did because this "looked like a mirror".
