Coatings and Clear Film (PPF)

Can coatings be applied over clear film? Since different coatings are availible lets deal with:

1. Opti Coat
2. GTechnig C? (not sure what number are for perm paint protection) and EXO
3. Car Pro Cquartz

If they can be applied to the clear film, can you cover the transition form PPF to paint or do you leave a "seam" to avoid sealing it to the paint?

For film I am referring to 3M Scotch Guard and Ventureshield.

Thanks.......

I know Opticoat can be applied over PPF. If the film is already on the car I would apply over the seam. It won't hurt anything but if you need to remove the film I think it will leave a slight line. That can easily be fixed with a little polishing to level the seam.

I don't have any experience with other coatings

Opti-Coat is fine over PPF.
C-Quartz is a not.
G-Techniq I do not have any information on and no experience with it.

Thanks guys. I will wait to hear back form Gtechnig and then make a decision. I just applied Opticoat to one of my vehicles and still have plenty so perhaps I will just go that route if I decide to coat the car with the PPF.
