Coating on Trim / and or Trim *dress* prior to coating

It`s been awhile but last year when testing...even though I prefered finest on paint, it seemed like Optimum over trim in thin layers was much better success than Finest.

For those that have a combo, what are ya`ll using on trim these days

  • coating direct, or specific like Dlux
  • trim dressing like autosolutions, tuf shine black and THEN coating ontop ?
 
I like c4 and gyeon trim. Both good. Some seem to work better on different trim within my own fleet. Not much help but it`s a try it to find it and this junk aint cheap.
 
Solution Finish topped with your choice of coating or trim protectant.

I am using Gtechniq C4 over Solution Finish on one of my cars right now. It does not spend a lot of time outside so it should last for a very long time. My dad`s car has solution finish topped with Gloss Coat and it seems to be holding up fine over the past 3 months.
