Cloudiness

Got all my materials and put the Klasse system on my new mustang..

1. Washed with Dawn and Microfiber towel to remove any old wax
2. Dried with Microfiber
3. Put one coat of Klasse AOI with microfiber pad. Immediately buffed off with Microfiber detail towel
4. Put a coat of Klasse Glaze and Sealant with microfiber pad. Waited 4 hours then buffed off.
5. Put 2nd coat of Klasse Glaze and Sealant with microfiber pad. Waited 4 hours then buffed off.
6. Put a Meg. carnuba on with microfiber. Did the whole car then when I was done, started to buff off with microfiber where I started... I did all of this in my garage (poor lighting) because it was sunny today.
7. Pulled the car out at dusk to look at it.. Had cloudiness on the hood...

What did I do wrong? Too much glaze? I took the cloudiness out with some Meg. Final Touch and it came off but it took some elbow grease...

Thanx for the input

SG has a tendancy to be a pain to remove... i always use a water damp towel to remove and a dry one to buff off. makes using it soo much more easier.

it could also be the oil residues fromt he carnuba...

the good thing is u got it off.

Have heard tha Klasse SG is problematic to the symptoms you describe. My only experience with the Klasee twins I used the wipe on wipe off method. That is to say i did not wait the four hours that you described. I simply put it on then wiped it off. Using that process that i described produced excellent results and almost six months off protection on my Olds Bravada.

Wish that i had the twins with me now. Would do the same thing again. I liked the looks and the protection.

I have to say, it looks good... A very "wet look" about it and looked real rich. I think I put on the SG too thick. Oh God.. Here's the real pi$$er. My wife took the car to get some ice cream... And it's lightening and thundering outside... Hasn't started raining yet...

Please God... Wait on the rain for 15 more minutes... If it starts raining I'm going to start crying like a little baby! :boohoo

$*$#W*@)( It just started raining...

i actually enjoy rain. except when i just finished applying protection and im waiting for it to cure. beads drive me wild!

It's likely that you are experiencing the SG haze problem that occurs when prematurely topping with wax. Klasse SG needs time to cure before adding subsequent layers of anything. Wait 12-24 hours between coats of SG and a few days (a week is better) before adding carnauba wax.

If this is the source of your problem, you will need to start over at the AIO step. :(
