If the clearkote products work as well as the people are nice than I will never lose at a show. Just called the guys to discuss some of their products and the guy was so nice and helpful that I am definately giving the products a shot on Monday. So to you gys just how good is their stuff?

I've been using their products for 5 years now. The Red Machine Glaze/Carnauba Moose combo is killer, especially on darker colors.

I started using CMW a while back after hearing Mr. Scottwax talk about it. I have to say, I really do like it. It goes on very easily and comes off the same. Leaves the dark vehicles looking great.

It was my favourite for a number of years but I've moved on to better gear

I found that I got a better result using 106FF for four minutes per section and then follow with either one of these

glare, ultra gloss, driven, prima amigo or blackfire GEP

It's a great line, no doubt about it. Be nice if they smelled a little better, though. :)

Smell is always nice, but always second to performance, CK entire line of what I have used is top notch, personal preference is the only way you could consider anything better.

RMG's "need" on darker paints is well known. And there are times when I wonder whether CMW gives an even better look than NB when used over RMG. My jury is still out on that one.

especially the RMG, that stuff makes my stomach churn.

But yes, CK products are very nice and the owners are about as nice of people as there are in this world. I called them one day and they were in the middle of loading up for a car show but he didn't rush me off the phone at all and was just as talkative as if he had nothing else to do.

I had some RMG/VM mixed up (aka Pink Moose) and a customer kept commenting on how good it smells. Go figure, right? Just like a lot of people like the smell of Meguiars #40 but I hate it. :nixweiss

The new formula of VM smells good, so maybe that's what the cust was mostly smelling. I remember the older formula was pretty bad smelling, now I wish they'd do something about RMG cause that stuff is rancid.
