Clearkote Products

Hey guys this is my first post. I was just wondering what you thought of Blue Moose Cutting Creme and Yellow Cream Wax made by Clearkote because they are both selling ofr $5.99 online and I was wondering if it is worth getting. From reading all day yesterday I know that the RMG and VM are great products but haven't read too much about the blue creme and yellow wax. Thanks Oh and also the Carnauba Moose wax how good is that? Is there products that are better for around the same price?

I haven't used the Blue Moose, but I hear it is a pretty aggressive paint cleaner. The Yellow Cream Wax is more of a glaze that I use after VM and/or RMG and then top with Carnauba Moose Wax for a very deep and wet look. I think the ClearKote products that I have (VM, RMG, YCW, CMW and Quik Shine) are easy to use and look very nice.

If you're looking to use a glaze and wax system then the ClearKote products are pretty hard to beat and work very well together. There are a thousand different combos you could try, but it all depends on what qualities you're looking for.

Ok so tell me if this order seems right - Blue Moose- RMG - VM - Yellow creme Wax - Carnauba Moose Wax? Obviously you wouldn't alwasy use the Blue Moose, depends how bad the paint is right? I'm going to keep reading , I got a cold right now so I'm going to be home for a while. I LOVE THIS FORUM!

That's WAY too much of their stuff. Skip the blue and yellow moose, start with the compound moose, then mix the rm and vm to make pink moose, then top with carnauba moose wax. maintain with quik shine.

But the $44.99 kit at danase.com, you get cpm, vm or rm, cmw, and qs. Then just spearately buy the vm.

Be prepared for marring with the Blue Moose Cutting Creme. Its pretty aggressive....

Blue Moose

Vanilla Moose to minimize any marring.

Then Nuba Moose to seal it up....

I find the Yellow Moose best used prior to sealing up, its kind of like a primer wax for sealing.....I personally dont think it should be used if you need filling with the Vanilla Moose. It will more then likely remove VM.

This is the order I use them in:

VM (first because it has some mild abrasives)

RMG

YCW (as an optional glaze for a touch more wetness)

CMW

I'd hold up on the Blue Moose until you find someone who has actually used it, and can give some info on how it needs to be followed up.

Yeah, you can mix the VM and RMG, and skip the YCW (not many here use it or even know about it), but all of their stuff is so easy that if it's before a show I'll do all four.

Ok I will probably just get VM,RMG, and CMW from Clearkote. The compound I will get from somewhere else. Can I use Duragloss Aquawax instead of Quck Shine - are they basically the same?

Nope, the AW is a wax/sealant spray. The quik shine is a quick detailer. Check out that package I mentioned, it will save you a ton, and PM me for a discount if you want. ;)
