Clear coat failure

Hello,

I have an 07 Acura TSX which is carbon gray metallic in color. I had a scratch that was about 3 inches long and deep on the bottom of the driver's side door. I attempted to wet sand it, and went too far. Now I have a 3 inch white mark as I went through the clear coat.

So, now I am looking at my options. Obviously, the perfect fix would be to have the door reprinted. I would rather not have to do that. Is there any kind of a fix for this that would make it look "ok"? I don't need it to be perfect.

Last, I found a guy that does air brush touch-up. I am also looking at that option, and was wondering what you all thought of that repair.

If anyone has any advice, other than lesson learned don't wet sand again, please let me know. I promise that will be the last time I do that!

Thanks again!

Airbrush repair is great if you are selling it. Otherwise the answer is repaint. Opticoat can buy you some time before it turns into a mess.
