hello, a friend of mine has ask me to remove the swirls from his ford car so i began with washing and drying the car. but then i noticed all the chips in the clear coat, all over the front and along the two sides (he likes racing down narrow lanes) am i right in saying that using a swirl remover on any panel that has damage clear coat is a bad idea? and if it is, is there a way round it. i did think of trying by hand but these swirls are bad (he loves using the local carwash) thanks in advance

polishing a panel with chips in the BC/CC wont damage the chips any further unless there is loose material.

You will notice them more after polishing.

Just touch them up prior to waxing

thanks for the help. but just one more question wouldn't using a circular polisher cause more damage to the clear coat?
