Whats up guys.....????????????

I have cloth buckets seats in my 01 Dakota. Any tips on how to clean them and how to protect them would be greatly appreciated.

Also carpet cleaning and protection tips would help alot, I have no idea on what products to use at all.

Thanks a million .................. Clint.

I am a huge fan of Prestone foaming cleaner. It took care of my seats when I had a car with cloth. If you want to get a different brush then that would be good too. The brush on those cans isn't always the best on seats.

To protect them in the future I would suggest getting a can of ScotchGuard. That should help them repel the stains and get clean easier in the future. :xyxthumbs

Blue Coral Dri Clean has worked good for me, but the Prestone would probably do just as well or better. The brush I use is a fairly soft fiber brush I bought at Wal-Mart. You don't really want to do a lot of scrubbing on the cloth, anyway. I would think most any of the name brand fabric cleaners will work for you. Just follow the instructions.

Like Jngr, I prefer the foaming types, and treating the fabric with some kind of fabric protectant after it is cleaned is definitely worth the effort. 303 Hi-Tech Fabric Guard is what I used to treat the seats after shampooing them.
