Cleaning paint on a new car

Hi,



For a new car do you need to use a paint cleaner before applying Klasse AIO or Autoglym Super Resin polish, which I believe contain cleaning agents also.



Which of the following would you recommend as a cleaner / glaze



1. 3M Imperial Hand Glaze

2. P21S Gloss-enhancing paintwork cleanser

3. Meguiars Medallion Paint cleaner



Currently I am following the following regime :



1. Wash (once a week)

2. Remove any micro-marring/light scratches

with 3M IHG mixed with P21S Multi-Finish restorer (as needed).

3. Glaze with 3M IHG (every 2 months).

4. Wax with Blitz (once a week)



I am planning to replace Step 3. with Klasse AIO.

Does Klasse bond properly if you have IHG on your car ?

If you do a search on Imperial Hand Glaze, users will tell you that it is just a filler. It actually just gets removed by any AIO application (since it is a polish/cleaner).



Like you said, I would bypass that step and try 3M SMR for your swirls instead. If I'm not mistaken the P21S will remove fine swirls as well?



IMO, AIO does lay enough acrylic down for protection and a great base for Blitz, if you're trying to go the value route.
