cleaning pads on single stage

Well, here is my problem I'm getting some pads and MF's from exceldetail and I have a 91 MR2 super red paint, it is a single stage paint. With single stage paints most of you know the color of the paint comes off onto the pad and the MF itself. I was wondering how all of you go about cleaning these. The pads I've found easier to clean but still not able to get all the color out. As for MF's, the I'm only able to get a little bit of the paint out. Is there a way to restore the color of my pads and MF?

Also, Is it ok to use any kind of brush to removed caked wax from a pad (such as a toothbrush)? Or do I have to buy one specifically designed for doing that, they are rather expensive and I've already spent 300+ on supplies. And with the brushes do you need water or can I just brush the pad as the pad gets cacked and continue polishing/waxing the car.

Thanks,

Chris
