cleaning MF terry towels?

i droped 2 of my microfibre terry towels in the gravel and they got pineneddles and dirt stuff all over them (not stains, little peices of crap). put them through the wash... it didnt come off.

it seems like these towels really cling to stuff. is this really a good thing, i mean if the big stuff dosent some off, why should all the little stuff? BTW, I "blot" with these crappy towels, i have a waffle towel to make things really dry
 
I would scrap those towels. No use risking it.

A great feature of MF is their ability to "grab" polish, etc. from the paint. Things like that come out of the towels when washed properly.
