Cleaning a 2003 Taurus

I'm in the process of cleaning the leather in a 2003 Taurus. The leather is in fair/good condition on a low mileage car. I need some product suggestions to get rid of the dirt and grime then try to condition it back to life....I'm told to use Lexol. I appreciate your suggestions.

I would go with Leatherique first, then follow up for maintained with BLACKFIRE High-UV Leather Conditioner or Leather Masters.

I like Leather Masters.

Leather Masters is great stuff!!!

If the leather is excessively grimey I would actually use an interior cleaner vs. a leather cleaner (most leather cleaner is pretty mild).

Start with Blackfire Interior Cleaner, it is more powerful then most 'leather cleaners' but is still completely safe for natural and coated leathers. I recently used this product on some pretty nasty seats in a S-class Mercedes, and was amazed at how quickly the grime came off of the leather. It was pretty amazing.

Spray a section and scrub with a stiff bristle leather brush. The wipe away the dirty residue with microfiber cloth.

Once the surfaces have been cleaned to your liking, protect and condition the leather with Blackfire UV Leather Care.

Alternatively, if the leather feels stiff and hard, you might want to consider the Leatherique twins to truly restore the leather hides.

Thanks for the help

I'll be doing some shopping shortly.....I've had good experience with BlackFire products......I wish these options were available back in 1961 when I had my XKE......

Don't know if you're also detailing the exterior, but I have had Great results using Optimum Compound on an orange LC CCS pad via Makita with medium pressure on my '05 Taurus.
