Cleaner wax after every wash??

Hello all, some questions pop up my mind and I need guidance from all of you.

So here`s the case.

I little bit addicted for waxing my car, everytime after wash it i applied car wax with my DA Polisher. I know it`s sounds overkill and wasting time also money, but i feel find my zen in applying wax. 😂 😂
My car is black Toyota Altis

My question is :
1. It`s that okay to applying wax after every wash? I always wash it at weekend.

2. I usually use cleaner wax (megs and turtle), i also have some dodo juice, Chemical guys and FK1000P, but i usually use that two because the price is less expensive, again it`s that could make some trouble in future?? Since i applied it after every wash

3. Which one is best way to apply wax? Using hand or machine? I actually prefer use DA for creating thin and even coat.

Any suggestions will be appreciated

1: yes- but I too may have a problem :)
2: I`d probably stay away from a cleaner wax if you desire to wax after every wash or every week
- have you considered a spray wax used as a drying aid?
3: whatever works best for you- as long as you`re using a soft non abrasive pad on the DA I see no issue applying wax via machine

Another vote for spray waxes as a great alternative to using a paste wax. They`re easy to use, helps with drying, provides a layer of protection, and *most* are less expensive then paste waxes.

Cleaner waxes really are (or functionally overlap with) mild polishes, and consequently are harder on your clearcoat than a true wax. Personally I would not do that with every wash, though it`s probably not something to worry about unless your clearcoat is really thin.

ariezhai5- I`m a little surprised you find joy in using those cleaner-waxes, which I never found very user-friendly, but hey...whatever makes ya happy.

And IME cleaner-waxes don`t protect very well and seldom look all that great (and I`m not the harshest judge of how waxes look).

If ya aren`t worried about protection/etching (never heard of a cleaner-wax being any good in those departments) there must be stuff that`s a lot better in pretty much every regard than TW or that Meguiars, oh...what is it?... uhm,...Meguiar`s A12. You should be able to find better stuff that works out to the same price range, at least if you buy smart.

With Toyota`s reputation for thin clear, I`d really want some better protection from etching. Using the Fk1000P seems a no-brainer to *me*, but I wouldn`t want to layer it forever and cleaning it off with just a cleaner-wax might be iffy.

Waxing every weekend is a problem?! I guess we need to have a come to Jesus meeting!

I do use spray waxes a lot for in between major waxing. But I use it every time I wash my car no doubt.

Thanks for response, didn`t though that bring more problems than solution. Any recommendations for spray waxes?? Using spray waxes for drying aid will be effected to towel absorbent??

for your black here`s my recommendation- in no particular order but I have used all these with great success on my black vehicle
Polish Angel Black Wulfenite or RapidWaxx
Wolfgang Fuzion spray wax
Pinnacle Souveran Spray Wax
Poorboys QD+ (most economical of those and best bang for buck as well)

I use spray waxes as Drying Aids at many/?most? washes of my wife`s A8 (the whole car) and our other vehicles as well (at least on certain sections).

I prefer Optimum Car Wax on paint and lenses and Meguiar`s D156/Ultimate Quik Wax on black trim.

But IMO using such stuff isn`t the same experience as wax on/wax off.

No issues with it messing up my MF Drying Towels, but a) I only do it with Plush ones, not WWs, and b) I wash them promptly in HOT water with a good MF detergent. Eh, I always use *something* that could potentially mess up Drying Towels anyhow..if not a Spray Wax then a Rinseless Wash at QD strength (previously used leave-stuff-behind QDs for this), so the prompt/proper laundering is just part of my routine. But of course YMMV applies since there are a lotta variables when it comes to washing hydrophobic stuff out of MFs.

PA Detailer- How do you like the GG Spray-On Wax compared to others? The only guy I know who uses it doesn`t keep his vehicle nice enough for me to be able to evaluate such stuff.

Thanks for advice, if it mess up with my towel maybe i use ONR as drying aid then use some spray wax after

For a Spray Wax after ONR the obvious choice is OCW, huh? :D

Though the ONR as a Drying Aid might do the trick all by itself. I use a different RW (IUDJ) and, mixed nice and strong, it leaves enough behind to work fine on a regularly cared for vehicle. I use the OCW on that A8 almost as a mere "oughta do more, oughta use a wax instead of just a RW" kind of thing. With a decent layer of (conventional) LSP on there the RW is plenty, just use the others for maybe specific to me reasons (LOVE the D156 on trim, like the UV protection of OCW on lenses).

Hahaha, you read my mind. It`s just because OCW less expensive here in my country. Try to get some D156 to try from my friend next
