Cleaner/Protectant for Alcantara Seat Inserts

I've done a search on this forum but didn't find any valuable info.



So what products would you recommend for cleaning and protecting Alcantara? My S5 seats are leather with Alcantara middle inserts.

When I had an IS300 with that interior I used the Lexus product to keep it clean. It appeared to work well (sidenote- that stuff HATES sunscreen! dont ask how i know..):angry

It's the Ibis White with all black interior. I can't wait! Delivery is schedule for Feb-Mar 2010. Same with my wife's Q7 TDI.



Thanks for the link, I checked it out but all it has is how to clean it. I'm wondering if there is a safe product to use to protect it (like a stain/water repellant spray)
 
Congrats on the S5, What a fantastic coupe! Great question too, I have the same setup in my Mazda and have only done basic cleaning up to this point. I hope this thread helps with what I should use on the inserts.

If it is really Alcantara, it is akin to polymer microfiber, you don't need to do anything to protect it, just clean any stains and occasionally lightly brush the nap.

ugh i love/hate alcantara.

watch what you use to clean it. give leathermasters a try. they have specific cleaners for nubuck suede and alcantara.
