Cleaned up my new baby

I picked up this car about 2 weeks ago. It's an 06 Civic EX with navigation. Got a great price and it only has 13,000 miles on it.

With the nice weather today (70 here in DFW), I decided to give her a good cleaning before the rain comes back this weekend.

Products used:

1. ONR

2. Sonus gray clay and Sonus Glyde lube

3. PB SSR2.5 - on the clearcoat scratches and "rough" areas

4. PB SSR1 - all over

5. CK Vanilla Moose Glaze - on EVERYTHING but tires and wheels

6. CK Carnuba Moose Wax - This is my first time using this. I normally top the VM with PB EX. Really liked how easy it went on and used very little.

7. Wheel Wax on wheels

8. Armor All on tires

9. PC used to apply SSRs, VM, and CMW

10. Sonus SFX pads

11. Cobra MF towels to remove everything

I'm very happy with the depth and the POP of the metalic flakes. I also get a nice reflection from the paint. This car also has a clear bra on the hood, mirrors, and door edges. It was pretty beat up, so I decided to try the SSR2.5 and SSR1 on the clear bra. They worked out pretty good. Got rid of the yellow and most of the scratches in the material. After that, I just treated them like the rest of the car. They are nice and clear now.

On to the pics:

Carnauba Moose is a very underrated wax around here, IMO. Excellent liquid depth, and decent durability.

You were lucky to be able to work on your car, I am so behind from all the rain, ice, snow and cold that I have customer's cars lined up as far into the future as I can see. I have no idea when I can even wash my car.

Thanks Scottwax. Coming from you, I take that as a major compliment. I'm finally getting the hang of this detailing thing - it's only taken a few years of trial and error.
