Cleaned up my dad's bike

...Dreaming on an E92....
He's getting re-married and the woman is making him sell it (*cough* whipped *cough*! :lmfao :D ), thought I'd give it a good "For Sale" cleaning. It's an '03 Victory Vegas (made by Polaris, the quad/snowmobile people), few custom items such as chrome swingarm, chrome blinkers, exhaust, things of that sort. If you're looking for a clean used bike don't hesitate to ask me for more ;)
I love the paint on this thing, the color is like a Sonic metallic blue that has tons of depth, it's fun to work with

I just realized I don't have any close-ups, sorry. If anyone wants me to I'll take some

Now that is one nice bike! The mods aren't over the top and it looks perfect to me. I love the exaust.

What a fine machine and your work is exemplary. I do hope you like the new lady in his life.......I also hope he keeps some of his old life intact. Life is a compromise my friend.

RF- I'm really happy for my father, and I really like his fiancee too. She''s actually his GF from 36 years ago, they're acting like they're 19 still. He never really rides the bike anyway, but it's paid off in a month, so why not keep it? Or at least give it to me ;)

Anyway thanks for the compliments guys!

Very nice looking. It's just another reason why I'm pretty sure I'm going to paint my bike that color. It is really a spectacular looking combination with the chrome. Nice work!

Out of curiosity, what size is it and how much is he selling it for do you think? Around here there has been a 50% increase in the number of bikes posted in the local online classified section and the prices that were being asked for on bikes last month have increased by around 20%. It's that time of year where selling a bike should be pretty easy. Have him put it on craigslist if he really wants it to move fast. With your pictures and a good price it will be sold on the first day probably.

that's a pretty tough call . ....girl or a bike ...:notme::notme:

nice bike though ..:bigups

Have a look at a dealership off P..hill road....they sell Indians and other custom bikes you might be able to get in consigned there....PM me and I can tell you the address if you need it

Jngrbrdman-

He's asking $10,900 for it and I've got an ad on CL but no calls so far (at least that I know of). Victory's aren't too popular but they're catching on with their new models. This one is nice though, not rubber mounterd but everything in balanced, 5 spd (04+ I believe has a 6 spd), gear-drive tranny, Brembo brakes...Arlen Ness and his son were on Victory's design team for this bike, they really came out with a nice bike.

I know which dealer, Santa Rosa Vee Twin, where he got the bike :)
I've talked to them a few times about contracting work through them but so far no luck. Come spring time when guys oll their bikes out and want them cleaned up I'll have to try them again.

They're right there with Auto Sport Detail, from what I've heard they use Quinn for their stuff. Wouldn't hurt to check up on it though.
The only real "special" thing about the bike is that those model wheels were only available on the 2003 models, and the "Aces" exhaust was the first custom exhaust produced for the Vegas, Don @ SR Vee Twin had them custom made. Gives off one hell of a roar.

Calgary- You should see my lawn now. Fertilized, cut, and edged to perfection :bigups
