clay ?

Yes you can use the same clay on different cars as long as the clay is still clean. If the cars you're doing have normal contamination you could even use it on a few cars before you need to switch.

Depending on how much contamination you pick up you can use on multiple cars. It's more a function of how dirty the clay gets.

If you drop it, it's done.

Also, cut the full bar into smaller pieces so it lasts longer.

I've read on here that once the clay is a bit too dirty for paint it can be used on glass and wheels.

Also, cut the full bar into smaller pieces so it lasts longer.

I cut an 80gm bar into thirds, and it worked great.

Just remember that if the clay gets contaminated, and those contaminants come in contact with the paint, you're pretty much marring it up with sandpaper. I consider clay to be a renewable resource, unlike paint, so I'd rather go through a lot of clay (by erring on the side of caution) than risk marring.

I cut my new bars into thirds. If a car isn't in too bad of shape, I use one third of a bar on it, then chuck that piece in the trash. So normally three cars out of one bar. But once a piece has seen use, it's gone.

There's been a few cars that have been bad enough to use all three pieces. Like Accumulator said, the contaminants already trapped become little pieces of sandpaper, ready to scratch the paint if they become exposed in the clay.
