My local car club founder sold his Civic to another member who wasn't a big fan of the sticker. So he peeled it off and found that it didn't all come clean. It had a few other problems too (like massive IFO on the back and alot of rust stains) that needed to be taken care of. It's white and is very hard to take pictures of, but I thought these before/after shots were pretty nice.
I had to get the obligitory money shots on white too.
It's going to look great when the sun goes down.
Here is one of the rust stains that were removed. Not complicated, but it made the car look a lot better.
I used a little Meguiar's Diamond Cut on a shop towel to get the rust stains out. Normally I would have used ScratchX, but I was out. For the decal glue I used Four Star adhesive and tar remover. It worked great. :bigups The Four Star professional line of products didn't get a lot of talk on the forums, but they really are awesome products.
The rest of the car got clayed and then polished with SSR 2.5 and the a coat of UPP. It looks much better.
