Chrome Wheels on Daily Driver in Iowa Winters - Clean and Protect?

Hey guys, the title pretty much says it all. My dad just purchased a 2005 Lexus LS430, with Chrome 18" wheels on it. They're in great condition - this car is his DD and will be through an Iowa winter. What do I do now to polish, clean, and protect it prior to snow/salt?



What would be the ideal maintenance regimin on them?
