First up is my fathers Vauxhall Astra. It's been polished in the last few weeks with Megs #80.
Here's a shot from a few days ago, with #21 x1 after a quick wash.
Here's one from today. The car was washed and had another coat of #21 put on it on Wednesday. It has 2 days of dust and grime on it in this pic.
Now one of the carpenters working on the housing estate they live in, asked me to do his Rover 75. Lots of tar, and swirls. No before pics cos the camera battery was dying after taking this 1st shot from when I got in the car to go do the detail. Minus 4! Brrrrr!
Car had:
SSR 2.5 Yellow Propel
VM Green Propel
RMG Blue Propel
UPP by hand
Had some spare time this morning after applying another layer of UPP to the Rover above, so decided to experiment. My car currently has a mix of Natty's Blue and OCW, with the last 2 coats being Natty's Blue.
I decided to try spit-shining the Collinite 476S as I had pulled it out for a family members car. I have spit-shined Nattys using the method of misting the panel, applying the wax, and misting the panel when removing.
Whilst reading up on an old thread on spit-shining, I decided to give the other method a go. I tried it on the rear wing first, and this is it. Rear panel spit-shined, rest of car-Natty's Blue.
Process I used:
Spray panel with very chilled Spray & Gloss, applied wax to panel with yellow app, went round entire car, then repeated the process another 3 times, so 4 coats in all. Then removed with 2 mf. So it just layered and layered. Wasn't a bear to remove either. Came off fine with a fine mist of S&G. A few places went on a bit thick, but I expected them to require more buffing.
Once I'd finished, the flake in the paint was popping like I've never noticed before.
Thanks for looking
Paul
