detailing a 1995 Chevy Silverado truck tomorrow. What do I need to cover when doing the engine bay? Obviously the valve cover/spark plugs and distributor, anything else?
I dont drive a chevy, but if I hose an engine down I ALWAYS cover the distributor, plugs, alternator, starter(if accessable), fuse box (if needed), and any open relays/wire spilices, etc..
Make very sure you wrap the Opti-Spark Unit. Even though the 95 and up are vented any H2O that gets inside and vaporizes will "KILL" the unit. It is located at the front of the engine just below the inblock water pump. If at all possible use a spray bottle and clean small areas at a time with some rags.
