Chenical Guys dressings

Can someone help me through the Chemical Guys dressings?

I currently use Poorboys Natural Look on my exterior plastics and Poorboys Bold and Bright on tires and wheel wells. I also use Zaino Z10 for leather and Optimum for the rest of the interior.

Am I correct in assuming the following:

Extreme V.R.P - Shiny tire and exterior plastic dressing?

Liquid Extreme - High shine tire dressing?

Silk Shine - can it be used on interiors? Is it a low sheen dressing? Good for plastic trim on the exterior?

Thanks for the help.

Just for comparison purposes...I think you will find the Extreme VRP to be quite a bit like the PnB, and the Liquid Extreme Shine will be similar to the Pb's Trim Restorer. I would also expect the CG's Natural Shine to be quite a bit like the Pb's Natural Look, but I haven't used either of them.

BTW, since you use the Z-10, the Z-16 tire dressing is really nice, lasts a lot longer than PnB, but not as shiny.

I just ordered 2 bottles of Z16. Ill have them for Saturday.

I really need a low-sheen dressing for plastic exterior trim and wheel wells.

Optimum is working on the interior plastics. Z10 is excellent initially, but not too durable.

The Optimum tire dressing is nice also, much more economical than the Z-16, particularly if you buy it in the gallon. I don't know if it will give you a low sheen on trim and wells, it's kind of medium shiny on tires.

I have the old version of Z-16; the new version is supposed to be better...I hope you have good results, I only use it on one vehicle and it just seems to keep that matte "like new" look for a really long time.

If you need a low-sheen dressing for the wells, consider Meg's Hyper Dressing. At 3:1 it provides a nice dark look in the wells, plus a gallon will go a very long way.

Silk Shine is pretty good, it comes off as a touch more matte than Natural Look. I used to mix in 10-15% of O-Shine to give it a touch of gloss. Very good product for the price, although I prefer Natural Look if price is not a factor.

Any feedback on the Silk Shine?

i like it. not as matte as i originally thought but not so shiny you get a glare from your dash. The thing i like is it's not greasy at all but has nice sheen. oh and it smells good too (but doesn't almost every detailing chemical nowadays)
