What products do you want us to compare? CG has multiple products in almost every category....

I will add I have used multiple products from both companies and like them both for different reason and purposes.

The product line in general.
The waxes, sealants, wheel cleaners etc.

I find both Poorboys and CG to have good products. I will always have both lines in my detailing arsenal :)

I have used the following from each sompany and been satisfied:
Poorboy's-Black Hole, White Diamonds, EX Sealant, Bold N Bright, Clay, spray and Wipe, ProPolish. DMT Microfibers.

Chemical Guys-Water Spot Remover (This product has been hit or miss with me) It works if the spots are not too bad.

I am sorry i don't have a more direct comparison. Steve from Poorboys world and Chris are very accessable and host a nice weeknd in early July where you can try everything for free.

Sorry,
But in my opinion they both have products that work and are very good. But it is really to hard and IMO unfair to make a general overarching comment/decision about which brand is better without comparing specific product.

I agree with Troy. I love PWB Spray and Wipe but equally love CG shampoos and V7. Don't like some from each company. Even broader, I don't think ANY company meets your question. Like some products, others not so much. Sorry.

Except Blackfire. ;) (Yes, Todd, I am sucking up for more free stuff.)

Thats why I'm asking you guys (from actual experiences).
Ok...
Specifically, say in paste waxes?
Chemical Guys 50/50 gave a nice shine.
What would be Poorboy's in comparison?
Also, what about prices, who's cheaper?

Dispatch, I've had limited use with CG products but everything that I've used as been very good, quality made products at a decent price. What I do think is they tend to lend on the larger detailer shops more than the consumer level. On the PB line I've used it for many years and find that it always delivers with great results. Price is always spot on and it's very user friendly.

That said "what are you looking for?" These comparisons are all just personal opinions and where they can help in your decision, it's all subjected to what they person likes.

I haven't used any Chemical Guy waxes but I love the Natty's range from PB. :bigups

I use alot of CG's products in my detail shop. I started out with the CG line due to price by the gallon. I found once I started using them that most all are great products. I'm not completly sold on the Jetseal, but I've not used it as much as some other products. Everything else seems to be great. I have several Poorboy products also, due to price by the gallon, and would buy the Poorboy’s World Spray & Rinse Wheel Cleaner over all other wheel cleaners that I have tried, no matter what the cost. But don't raise the price. I also can say the same for CG's Blacklight and V7, both are great products and get great reviews from clients. So like others have said kinda hard to compare and I really like both companies and will continue to use products from both.

I think the only way you are going to find that out, is if you buy both products and see for yourself. Everyone has their own way of doing things, and just because someone tells you "oh I think this company is better because blah blah blah" that doesn't mean you're going to like it as much as they do. I recommend you buy your own products and test them out and see for yourself how you like them.

I've bought things from the past on here just because supposidly it's "the best." And while it probably is the best, I have no use for it in the kind of detailing I do because I don't sit there for days and days detailing a car, the kind of detailing I do is quick.

So find the products you like, feel them out, and if they work for you then great. If not, try something else. Good luck

"Best" as has been said, is pretty subjective. I will say that I would have to try pretty hard to find a PoorBoy's product that I couldn't live with. I think that says a lot. Are they the best across the board? No one can make that claim but when it comes to results/$ spent, they're certainly one of the leaders. Like Todd, I really like the Natty's waxes, all 3 of them. I still haven't tried White Diamonds or Black Hole and I've been meaning to ever since these were introduced.

They both work great in the detailing world and their price right so many can use it in their shop's for their regular customer's. To the Autopia Car Care store, the lines of products that are sold all work and gives the customer a wide range of products to use from DD to the million dollar car's out there.

I would also add that Autopia sells a TON of Poorboy's and a TON of Chemical Guy's to satisfied customers. In terms of value and line completeness you cannot go wrong in either direction.
