Chemical Guys or Poorboy's??? BEST???

I'm looking at buying products for my upstart business. Which products are better...Chemical Guys or Poorboy's? Obviously I'd be looking for the best three-stage for upper-cost details, and a AIO for lower-cost...then a true wax aleternative for show cars.



Chemical Guys or Poorboy's



And if anyone knows of a product line that's even better, let me know that too.

Awhhh, you guys must have a preference. If you need to be product specific, please do. I'm not opposed to buying one product from one company and another from the opposing if that's "what's best" dictates. I just want what's going to get me the best result and ease of use.
 
What are you going to be using them with? By hand, PC, rotary? Full time?



Poorboy's products are great to use anywhere and work great with the PC. The new polish with sealant is a great AIO. The waxes and cleaners are top notch. Are they good for a business? Don't know I don't run one. Do I use them a lot and have great results, Yes.



If you are thinking of using a rotary then I suggest Optimum products. They are very versitile and made to work in conjunction with a rotary and produce great results as well.



We can sit here and tell you our personal preferences but the only way for you to know which products to use is to buy some and see what works best for you. That is truely the only way for you to know what to use.



FWIW I use the two brands of products listed above on all of my details in one way or another whether it is a Poorboys sealant, wax, polish, or optimum polish or spray wax.
 
I mainly use a PC, but have a rotary for major paint issues, and sometime use my hand for final sealants.



Again, the PC is my main use tool, so go by that.
 
CG's has a wider range of products, but then again... you'll have to figure out which items would be best suited for you...
 
Well I haven't used Chemical Guys products just to let you know.



My go to polish with the PC is Poorboy's SSR2.5 with a polishing pad with the speed cranked up to #6. This will bust out some major swirls and scratches and when worked in properly you could even go right to a wax or sealant. The SSR line is easy on and easy off. If you do go this route do not prime your pad with water or QD, the polishes don't like that and that is where a lot of users get dusting issues. You can't go wrong with SSR2.5 and SSR1 combo with the PC.



I've tried Menzerna FP and IP with the PC and the results aren't near the SSRs. Even optimum polish was difficult to remove with the PC. I think this is because these products are designed to work with a rotary and have oils that allow the product to be worked in for a long amount of time which is good with the rotary but with the PC the polish may not break down fast enough = making it hard to remove. Just my experiences.



As for sealants and waxes- any product you hear talked about on this forum a lot is good... whether it is EX, EX-P, JeffsWerkstatt, Zaino, Sonus, Danase, Four Star, P21S, Finish Care, Optimum, Pinnacle, Wolfgang, DP... and the list goes on.
 
Uhm... they are pretty much the same. As are most of CG's products. Just pick something and go to town.
 
ive got:

poorboys natural look - awesome matte finish

spray n gloss: so-so

nattys white: like spreadin butta on the car, and easiest wipe off ive seen so far - awesome



ill probably try CG's stuff in the future becase of their gallons, but will try the ssr's before that!
 
We are getting a lot of these posts over the last few days..."what is the best". Each company has some very good products.
