When I get back from vacation in a couple of weeks I'm going to tackle the big spring/summer detail of my vehicles (especially removing the DISO from my Lexus from last fall). I ordered some OPT Hyper Polish for the correction part but I'm a little concerned about just how much bite it will actually do (more than I was expecting).
Here's the Tools and Process I have for critique:
Wash with ONR and P21S Total Auto Wash (to strip off any remaining OCW and OS)
Clay with Megs Blue
Polish with the OPT Hyper Spray and my venerable PC (the older model number that I can't remember)
Opti-seal
I have a collection of Prima Pads that I've use in the past with the PC and the Prima line of polishes I still have. I have black, white, orange and yellow 6.5 inch pads (that goes from wax pad up to cutting pad).
Finally the big questions: Will the Prima pads be a good choice for the OPT Hyper Spray? I would call the swirls in the finish mild to moderate but how do I objectively rate it (or at least take a picture of it)? When I figure all of this out, how do I choose a pad (new or what I have) to start with? -- I know you start with the mildest that will make a difference but this product seems so different from what I've used I'm a little lost at what cut I'd get with what pad.
TIA,
Tony
