Check my list to order for a weekend warrior detail newbie

Ok so after getting my car "detailed" and not happy with the results I have decided to do it right myself. I want to remove the swirls and very few rids and seal the paint properly. The last detailer applied sealant and didn't do any compounding/polishing.

I already bought a Flex XC 3401

Anyways here is what I was thinking to get:

Optimum No Rinse wash

Megs 105

Megs 205

Klasse High Gloss seal glaze OR Optimum opti-seal (I want a durable daily driver sealant)

Kobra assorted micro fibers

p21s wheel gel

Lake Country CCS 6.5" pads (1 Orange, 1 White, 1 Black, 1 Blue)

I might need to add a product to remove the sealant on there now. Was thinking Chemical Guys citrus wash (no gloss).

Also how does the Optimum polish II and Optimum finish compare to the Megs combo? I hear the Optimum is using non-diminishing abrasives in the new polish.

What is a better sealant of the two I mentioned before? Optimum opti-seal or Klasse high gloss.

I would just recommend another, lighter, polish because, not having tried M205, I don't know if it's fine enough to finish nicely on your paint...

I would also highly recommend KSG as that's my sealant of choice 99% of the details I do.

Lastly, I forgot if Flex accepts smaller pads, but I would suggest getting 5.5" pads and forget the blue one as black isn't that much more aggressive, especially with the Flex.

Everything else sounds good.

pick up the CG CWC (to remove sealant and LSP) and while your there get some CG Jetseal 109

How does that jetseal 109 compare in durability to opti-seal or KSG?

I will look into adding finer polish. As for the flex I'm almost positive it has a 6" backing plate and no other options for backing plates since the edge adapter system is no longer sold.

Get the smallest pads that will fit.
