thought i would finally try some CG products on my new gmc canyon this morning. they offered $4.99 no min shipping last week. ordering was very easy. had my order in two days fed-x. always wanted to compare the maxi-suds to DP extreme foam. put the usuall 2oz in my gilmore foam gun and about 1oz in my wash bucket with a adams wash pad. very thick formula. cherry scented. first thing i noticed it really foamed in the bucket. mounds of foam. started up the foam gun and was greeted with a thick blanket of foam. very thick and good lubricity. hate to admit it, DP is no slouch but i had nothing to compare it to. WINNER: CG MAXI SUDS II.

you really know your a detail freak when you use a product for your wheel wells. :rofl i usually just use the cheapest product for this use. cheap protectant or tire foam. the CG BARE BONES undercarriage spray applied evenly and without excessive runs. applied it to my wheel wells and frame (where you can see it from the side) heavy grape scent. smells almost too good! :drool: made all areas a great looking black. just right. :inspector: not too bright or dull. was really impressed this morning with these two CG products.
 
I have Bare Bones (or was told it was in a trade). It was a pale blue with a very nice scent. I also have Griots (stronger scent, about the same tint) that I picked up at Detail Fest. I have used Adam's which has a strong grape scent and color.

I wonder if CG changed their version to match Adams. Adam's has not changed from what I have heard.
 
Is Bare Bones a tacky dust magnet? I would be interested in a product like that if I knew it wouldnt be a mess to keep clean.
 
I suspect if you do not like it dry before driving but have not seen any noticeable dust issues. I spray then wipe with an applicator (mostly on plastics) to give an more even look.

They all work best on plastic wells and is fairly durable if you just maintain with soap rather than stronger cleaners.
 
i use this on my wheelwells works great . after spraying i give a quick wipe down with a towel to grab the drips..
 
I've been using the Turtle Wax tire foam on wheel wells, and keeping the wheel wells washed with car wash solution once per week.

I've come to realize that a lot of those strong chemicals are for dirty cars and not cars that are cleaned weekly, like mine. :)

I'll be using the CG Citrus Wash to foam my cars this winter. The gritty salt brine has to be dissolved before any type of wash can be done.
