Cerritos (562) area detailer

Hello everyone,

I have a 7 year old daily drive (black) that has never gone through a detailing job in its lifetime. Finally decided to spend some buck to get a descent job done and wondering if it is wise to just take it down to a local car wash. I've seen one with a detailing center but haven't checked out their price yet.

Would you recommend finding a local detailer and schedule the job with him, or take it down to the shop for a descent wash inside/out, buff, polish, and wax?

Is $100 reasonable?

depends on how well you want your vehicle cleaned up. if you want it to damn near perfection, be prepared to dish out twice or three times as much. sometimes even more.

if you list where you're from, a better alternative is to have one of the board members on here try to take care of it for you. as far as pricing, a $100 isn't really going to get you much so you may have to pay a little more for good high quality work, that you won't find at one of those time based detail centers...

I live in Norwalk but can travel to Cerritos, Downey, around this area if necessary. Would be awesome to see that new car look again. I'll check out the nearby detailers (car wash centers) for their competitive price and ask questions on the process.

7 year old black DD, never detailed. To get the job done "right", expect to spend at least $250. The "car wash centers" are a joke, you would be better off leaving it in it's current state than taking it to them.

My $0.02
