CCD Duster

just make sure the paint isnt really dirty. If there is any question especially on a dark car, don't use it and just wash it.

Hey Plazaman,

Swirls & scratches are always my concern with the CCD & the Oxo. My advice is to keep it as clean as you can & use a feather light touch with it. Down here in Texas, we get a lot of Sand blowing around & even though I own both the Oxo & CCD, I find it's safer to just wash my truck!

I only use my CCD if there is a very light layer of dust or pollen on the paint. If there's a lot of dust/dirt all you do is push it around and possibly scratch the paint. When in doubt, wash rather than dust.

I would only buy the wood handle CCD. I have several of each kind and there is a definite difference in quality between the dusters with the plastic handle and the wood. It's not just the handle but the fibers themselves seem to be of higher quality in the wood handle CCD. One reason why it costs more I suppose.
