Cars and Coffee 2012

CH.Detailing

What's a detail?
Today marked the second Cars and Coffee gathering of the season up here in Wisconsin, and it was a fairly dismal affair. The start started off cold and overcast with temps hovering in the mid-50s, the day only got worse when a torrential downpour broke out. Needless to say many of the day's attendees decided to book it out of there and make for the hills! One brave soul in a 1954 Ferrari 250 set out from Rockford, IL (about a two and a half hour drive) and made an appearance at the same time as the rain. Sharing the sheer terror being felt by the owner we hastily moved some cars around made room for the 250 in the showroom before the hail started to fall. Talk about a close call!

Unfortunately the dismal attendance, dismal weather, and dismal lighting made me not terribly motivated to take many photos, so these two will have to suffice for today!

They had a Cars and Coffee here in Raleigh on Saturday but I could not go. I should be able to may the June one for the first time.

Sorry to see the weather screw up you event. Cars and Coffee is a great idea in the various cities. At Indy's C&C this week the sun finally broke thru. There were TWO McLarens show up along with about 50 other beautiful rides. I have a couple of pictures posted on fb and as soon as I figure out this photo bucket thing I'll try and post a few.

That's sucks when the weather is not on your side, down here it's the Dupont Registry one that's held once a month at their HQ's. Loads of cars there for everyone.
