Not many pics, just wanted to share cause the difference looks pretty cool IMO,

I detailed this CRV 2 Months ago (1-Step with D151), it's my neighbor's and also my Girlfriend's sister's Mother-in-law,very sweet lady. She was completely amazed when i did her car the first time and contacted me this week to clean her CRV again. It was a nightmare when i walked over to her House to pick it up, sap EVERYWHERE(the car is pretty much underneath a huge tree that pretty much covers their driveway) , the whole truck had an even layer of sap and junk just sitting there and my heart just sunk after knowing all the work i put into it the first time. Thankfully she did not have anyone else wash it besides me 2 months ago, it was so sticky to the touch and gross . I was actually a little upset seeing it like that but whatever, i took it home and it was a perfect subject to try out my new bottle of Trix:

- Rinsed the whole truck to cool it off from the Hot gross TX Heat.
-Sprayed Trix throughout entire vehicle
-As it dwelled i was prepping my foam cannon (about 2oz of Meg's Soap, 1oz of Megs APC and 4-5oz of water).
-Agitated the Trix on the surface using my washmitt covered in Griot's Soap , at this point i touched the surface and i could feel the sap was loosening up and the paint was surprisingly smooth again for the most part.
-Foamed the whole truck (whitout rinsing the Trix off) until bottle mixture emptied out and allowed it do dwell for a couple more minutes.
-High pressure rinsed everything then washed using 2 bucket method
-Nanoskin Blue Pad was used on rooftop VERY lightly while providing lots of soapy lube from my wash mitt, the roof top was surprisingly the only section that still felt kinda bumpy yet still smooth after the wash, i was expecting the whole car to be rough to the touch.
-Dried using a large drying MF Towel then did some work on the interior.

i was going to seal it up with collinite 845 BUT the hood is completely trashed with etching from the sap and rain mixture, it felt very smooth so i knew the damage will need some Polishing. I opted for a coat of Mothers Spray Wax as a temporary light protection and told my customer to let me have the truck again in 2 weeks so that i can polish out the hood for her . I will try out my new bottle of HD Speed since it's just a daily driver and then seal the whole truck (after carpro eraser) with the 845 .

Notice how blurry and "grey" the trees' reflection look in the pre-decon/wash picture, this truck's paint was NASTY :

You're really confusing me. First you say this, which I can't follow at all:

And then you say this:

And that you're "sold" on Trix...but you posted that other thread yesterday about FerreX--you didn't like that as much?

Sorry about that Setec, english is not my main language and after reading your quote, that IS confusing ( i was typing fast without proof reading much) . This lady is my neighbor, and also my Girlfriend's "family" because her son is married to my gf's sister.

In regards to the Ferrex, i did not dislike it, my post was just an observation about my experience with it and to provoke some feedback in regards to the staining which was really my one and only concern. The whole deal with the rusted B-Pillars was just me testing it's "limits" i guess you could say, without the intention of putting the product down nor praising it. Would i use it again? yes i would, i liked it more than not, i just need to experiment with it some more so that i can feel more comfortable about using it on someone else's vehicle. I still haven't tried a second application to see if the stain gets removed since i've been busy since then, but it is my intention to just push the product and just be overall more comfortable with it and understand it better that's all :) .

If i'm not mistaken, Trix is a combination of Iron X and Tar X,correct? which i would think makes for a "milder" product with a broader use rather than specifically focused for Iron or specifically focused for Tar/Sap , so it doesn't seem to me like i am contradicting myself when i previously stated something about a different product and having some minor concerns with it (different brand, different "specialized" or "specific" purpose). In my opinion ( and feel free to state otherwise) , i'd consider Trix as a more overall decon/cleanser and Ferrex/Iron X as a product with a more isolated purpose. I guess you could see it as someone stating they don't like M105 , but they really liked D151 .....I would not see that as confuisng because IMO one is a specialized product, and the other is more of a mixed/general usage product (?) .

Again sorry for the confusion, i hope the above clears up some of the things i've stated.

Thanks buddy.

Hey man, no need to explain, I was just kidding around...I can never follow that stuff...when people say that kind of stuff to me I just nod my head, because I really need to sit down with a piece of paper and diagram it, and by that time who really cares, anyway? (It's always the gf's who seem to care about that stuff)

As far as Trix and FerreX being targeted at different applications, I thought they were basically the same animal, an iron-eater mixed with a tar solvent. Although the FerreX MSDS doesn't seem to list any solvent, so I'm not 100% sure how it's removing tar.

Maybe ferrex leans a BIT more towards iron removal, and the Trix kind of has a "happy" balance between both purposes, making it weaker than Ferrex for Iron particles?

Yeah i can def.see how they're basically the same thing, in my opinion they were (maybe still are) a bit different since Ferrex seems to be marketed more as an iron remover with the tar removing abilities as an added bonus, while Trix seems to be marketed more as an "even" mixture of what were originally created as separate specific iron and tar removing products , which would make me think Trix might me more mild or gentle when it comes to iron removal since it's "diluted" with a separately designed tar remover(?)

Thankfully i still have product in both bottles left so i'll try to remove that stain my corolla with both(50/50 surface) and see what happens or try both simultaneously on what's left of that B-Pillar rust. In my mind the Trix seems like a more "overall" purpose product (due to it's marketing maybe?) at the moment which i think is why this thread seems to favor it more, but really i have not come to a personal conclusion as to whether i will re-acquire both for my arsenal and use them for different applications, or if they serve me the same purpose and one is better than the other. The quest goes on for me! and thanks for calling the whole similarity situation out, it's got me more interested in trying both of them out more extensively.

Did the Trix turn red to signal the iron was being removed? I have been on the fence about buying anything but Ironx because I have read the Snow Soap does not do a good job of removing the iron particles.

Correct ^^^ , it was a black vehicle so i did not notice a color change while on the paint but as i was rinsing i did see a small purple puddle underneath vehicle, i did not spray the wheels so i know for a fact it came from the body.
