Anyone tried this? I have a regular guy who smokes a lot in his truck and I'm wondering if this would be worth giving a shot. So far only great experiences with the CarPro line.

CarPro Fog Fight

"CarPro Fog Fight is an anti fog coating that is super hydrophilic and eliminates condensation on interior auto glass. Keep your windshield, windows, and mirrors clean and clear with just one application. CarPro Fog Fight prevents fog due to heat, cold, and humidity. Interior fogging can be dangerous and occur often. Fog Fight prevents fogging with a long-lasting, clear coating.

Fog Fight cleans and coats in one step! There's no need to pre clean your windshield before applying. One application lasts a very long time if not disturbed. In lab tests of Fog Fight, no fog formed on glass after 60 minutes over boiling water or a hundred cycles of heat-and-cold. Fog Fight is proven to prevent fog even in dramatic temperature swings, like those tested.

The Fog Fight Kit includes an applicator and three suede microfiber towels to make streak-free application easier."

-thanks

-the only review on acc said it left a film on the window but who knows if that was user error or not

Done with carpro after having to polish it off with how embedded the water spots were, not to mention the difficultly in application AND the streaks reload would leave.

Be careful, I have read that it can be really finicky. I don't think anything can really help the buildup from smoke.

are you referring to this product specifically?

yea it seems too good to be true - but it doesn't appear to be well recieved from what I am reading

I have used about half a bottle of FogFight. Here are my thoughts.

Glass really needs to be clean before apply this. It does clean some but only as much as the solvent in it, so not much.

I have found it leaves a slight "haze" or "film". This isn't to totally bad thing as that is what it is supose to do. But sometimes this film can be irritating if you like perfectly clear windows.

It does help with morning fog if you have this issue on the inside of your vehicle.

It doesn't stand up to cleaning. So if you wipe down the interior windows it needs to be reapplied.

If you want to test it out use your bathroom mirror if they fog up. I did a 50/50 to see the difference and how it worked. I now use FogFight on my bathroom mirrors mostly especially in the winter when they tend to fog up more. I just clean my car windows once a week using the Carpro FastGlass towel and move on.

Oh, and that is my review on the store. ;)

I have mixed feelings about the Fog Fight, it can help but the small haze is not helpful with night driving. However as suggested above I would doubt it will make any improvement with a smoker.

I heard that some fog's are from the interior "gassing off" (IDK if that's true) but my mother's new Ford Fusion has a terrible issue with interior fog (she doesn't smoke and she always uses the climate control @ 70f). I noticed the fog right way and cleaned it off a few times (it's tacky feeling when using a glass polishing microfiber). I think her fog is related to fumes coming from the engine bay trough the vents (noticed it looked like vapor coming from the vents when she first got the car and I pushed it hard-ish).

Here's a pic:

Wonder if this product would help.

that is kind of scarry man

Get her one of those stoners glass cleaning wand things..i got my mom one and she loves it for cleaning her inside windows..the one wth the extension, got it at wallyworld for like 12bux

Yeah and my mom is getting to her 70's so its harder for her to see as it is...

That is not cool at all. I can only imagine how hard it is to drive at night. I can barely see through some of it in the picture. It makes me wonder if there is something wrong with the car? Another thing you have to watch for on some Fords is if you have the vent on recirculate or venting from outside. That might worry me enough to take it to the dealership. Is it still under warranty?
