Im wanting to get a carpet extractor. I want one thats cheap, but works well. Im just getting tired of using my shop vac :angry ;) I do some part time detailing during the summer, and using the shop vac just wastes too much time. I know you guys (and girls) know what im talking about. I just need some suggestions on a good, but cheap, hot water carpet extracter.

whats a good water heating temperature? and what inch water lift should I get? And what does that mean?

Thanks, Ronnie

Well, getting good and cheap at the same time is going to be hard to do. You may want to look at something used, with a minimum of 100 PSI

The most important considerations when buying a hot water extractor or vacuum cleaner are the cfm and the static lift. You should also consider the volume it will hold, what kind of motor(s) it uses and what tools are included. It should also be noted what power requirements the tool will have. Some extractors require the use of 2 seperate plugs (one for the vacuum motors and one for the heating element) and others only require one. With repsect to getting a GOOD extractor cheap, good luck. Cheap extractors are like cheap detail jobs - a waste of money. Do your homework and if you are lucky you may find a quality used unit at a decent discount as suggested by Ed.
