Carpet dye help

I have a dilemma... my RX7 has all black interior except for the seats and carpet. Now the seats are easy I'm getting those recovered but black carpet is very difficult to find for the 7 due to the fact that everyone wants it and there isn't a whole lot of people selling it



So I have decided to look into dying my carpet black. The car isn't a daily driver only weekends etc...

Can anyone recommend a product that will hold up nicely, have a rich black finish, not wear off easily, and not change the texture of the carpet to a clumpy mess?



I have seen a couple spray can type dyes any certain one that is better or is there like a liquid type dye?

Sounds good! Any idea how many cans it will take?



Also where is the cheapest place to buy it or pick up locally (any normal auto parts stores carry it?)
 
i also would recomend SEM for any dyes....but i must add i hate to dye carpet unless nessecery for the reason it ALWAYS rubbs off no matter what i always recommend to not dye it unless your selling the car and u wanna hide something.....if u want to change the color alltogether than i suggest u find somebody that will sell u black carpet u will be much happier in the long run!. just my opionion
