I treat them just like the painted surface which is also urathane in many cases. Wax it or seal it -whatever you are doing to the paint. Sealing works better because you don't have to worry about the white residue of the dried wax at the seam or line.
It is important to keep them treated- especially Llumar and Venture Tape as they do NOT have a top coat like 3M does. If you don't, they will get imbedded with dirt and turn gray.
