Carbon flex c9 // worlds most hydrophobic coating

Oh thank goodness it comes with "Superior optical clarity". Total deal breaker for me without it.

Here we go again. Yeah, their previous coating product was revolutionary as well...can anybody even name it?

Oh cool... a new coating priced WAY ABOVE anything else that's not pro grade. Who is the brains (or lack there of) over at chemical guys who comes up with how to market this stuff? Its like they think its as simple as "if you make it they will buy"

Maybe I will try it since other coatings don't contour to the vehicles curves and will "crack, peel and show scratches."

Seems like there's a lot of love for CG floating around this Friday. What did "The Guys" do to endear so many fans to their products?

They sent out an email this morning pretty much saying this was the best stuff ever and poo pooed all other coatings.

Well for me, it's their:
1. Excellent Customer Service
2. Innovative First to Market Product Solutions
3. Illuminating YouTube videos
4. Strict non-biased product review policy over on chemicalguys.com

"Chemical Guys Carbon Flex C9 is the world’s most advanced hydrophobic protective coating."

So what they're saying is not that it's the "most hydrophobic" (which can be easily tested and compared), but basically that it's the "most advanced coating" that just so happens to be hydrophobic. Which is a much more subjective statement without knowing the exact chemistry of the product. Second Skin 6 did not leave behind any sort of impressive water behavior from the tests that I've seen, so now it looks like they're going to deliver on the demand for stronger water behavior. $150 for 30mL is still more expensive than most of the other coatings that consumers can get, much more than what I want to spend.

Never had the desire to try any of their products. I don't read a lot of people liking them all that much.

I really have my favorites in each class of product and I will try stuff that I hear good things about from people I respect but I'm not sit ding up to try all this new goop. The last few lines that had give always I passed. Not looking for new waxes or polishes unless I hear they are great.
