Car wash shampoo smells: Who smells like What?

Very sorry if this thread has existed recently, I wan't able to find what I was looking for in Search.



I'm finally going to be through with the EO which I got sick of quite a while ago. I'm a big sucker for good smell so I'm leaning toward Zymol this time. But everyone seems to like Gold Class so much also. I wasn't fond of the Meg's Crystal Clear (or whatever it was called) much either, but I liked it better than this EO Wet.



So, Who's got the good smells?



I'll desperately try not to buy products over the weekend so some responses will be here.



Man, I can't wait for the fat ol' sun to warm everything up.
 
I like the Mothers, smells like bubble gum to me....



Just picked up some NXT, haven't cracked the bottle open yet to take a whiff.
 
Yeah, Mother's Cali Gold smells like bubble gum. Why are you going by smell ? I think a lot of people like Meg's GC is because you get sooo much for the buck and it's a good car wash. I've also been using Zanio Z7 and QEW. Of the 4, I like Z7 for the final result.
 
I love the smell of Griot's Car Wash - not sure what it is, but it's got a nice smell and works great.



I plan to try Meg's Gold Class next to try to save some $$.

Because all the stuff you guys'll mention will be good quality, high lubricity stuff.



I really like the bonding time with the exterior of the car. Usually I only get to see the interior, unless I'm standing in the garage just staring at it. Good smelling product makes for that, ah, oh so special moment. :D



So far:

NXT = Limey

Zymol = Tropical/Coconut

California Gold = Bubble Gum



I'll sniff what I got when I get home.
 
Griot's and Pinnacle both have that overwhelming "this stuff smells good enough to drink" quality.

I find that Pinnacle and Zymol work great in cocktails too. They offer a nice coconut flavor to any tropical summer drink you like.



I am going to try NXT next. I like the smell when I wash my car so I'm curious to see if it tastes as good as the others.
 
Pinnacle smells very good, as does Z7. Blackfire's shampoo also smelled very nice. The Blackfire shampoo has that smell of Crystal Mist/Blackfire/FI QD's. I love how my garage smells after using them. My wife commented just the other day (after using Crystal Mist again, thanks to you Edwin ;) ) the garage smelled like a tanning salon, and I guess it did, but in a good way. :)



My favorite, #00, smells ok, but it is a very faint cologne type of smell. I'm glad it is very faint... ;)
 
I use Megiuars Soft Wash Gel ( the pink stuff ). Smell is pleasant and not too over-powering which is nice, sort a sweet fruity smell.

The 1z Perls is my "special occasions" wash, with a faint cologne smell and it works fantastically.
 
Another thread on the smell of detailing products. Why does anybody care? Are they eating and drinking the stuff?:D
 
My favourite is the blue Zymol.



Smells pretty different than Gold Class though, which smells like colonge, so what smells good to you may not smell good to someone else...



Oh yeah, Mothers Trigger Wash smells pretty darn good too! (apples)
 
Just to add info, the EO Wet smells like a floral-esque perfumey cleaner.



I realized that there are two different kinds of Zymol when I went to their site and didn't see the stuff that I see OTC.



Someone mentioned another thread that talked about the smell. Link?



I think that the Meguiars Deep Crystal (if they still make that anymore) smelled like grapes.



I know the Black Magic QD smells like cherries, but unfortunately just doesn't work very good. I'll be my clay lube this season.
